Reading time is 3 minutes. Let’s do this.
Main Thing
Microsoft launches AI-powered Bing and Browser
What: Microsoft announced a new chatbot style version of Bing search engine, and AI powered Edge browser, collectively dubbing them as ‘co-pilot for the web’.
Here’s a screenshot of what chatbot looks like:
Key points:
AI in Chat - Bing now has chatbot style interface, powered by next-gen OpenAI model that is better than ChatGPT, and is aware of current events to provide relevant answers.
AI in browser - AI will assist you in browsing websites. For example, it can compose a post when you’re on LinkedIn, or summarize financial documents when you’re on a stock website!
What’s Next: To search something online, you would probably ‘Google’ it, go back and forth between websites, and likely restart your search again until you find what your were looking for. Too many clicks. Too many Ads.
Imagine an assistant who’s smart enough to pass an MBA exam, a medical exam, even a law exam, and knows everything available online - from how to fix a car to how to plan your meals and will even write poems for you.
Wouldn't it be more productive to 'chat' with this assistant and get your answers quickly? That's the new Bing for you! 👊
Big Picture
Jailbreak AI: Some users were able to jailbreak ChatGPT using a simple prompt, allowing the AI to answer breaking all rules and guidelines. This version is called ‘DAN’, short for Do Anything Now.
AI gone rogue? *surprised pikachu face
