Meta is back with yet another open-source AI model - Audiocraft. This tool allows users to create high-quality music and sounds using simple text prompts!

Every background and environment sound you hear in movies and songs, like the chirping of birds, sounds of traffic or barking of dogs are manually recorded. But now you could create the similar high-quality sounds within seconds and at a fraction of the cost.

Under the hood, AudioCraft is made up of 3 AI models:

• MusicGen: To create music from text

• AudioGen: To create sound effects from text

• EnCodec: AI-powered audio-compression technique that allows for higher quality music generation with fewer artifacts.

Bigger Picture: Audiocraft is a huge deal for professionals working with audio. For example, a musician could explore new composition without having to play a single note on an instrument, or a small business owner could add a copyright-free soundtrack to their social media posts in seconds. Al can generate everything from music to sounds from text instructions.
