Regular notes app might work for your shopping to-do lists, but sometimes you need a smarter app to get work done!

Google built an AI-powered notes app, NotebookLM, to help you interact with your data in a smarter way.

Here’s what it can do -

  • Get a summary: Understand the key points from the text data

  • Ask questions: Chatbot style interface allows you to do a deeper dive on your data

  • Generate ideas: Brainstorm with your data to discover new ideas.

But isn’t this simply another chatbot? Google asserts that NotebookLM’s AI is more ‘grounded’ in your data which helps reduce hallucinations and provide more accurate answers.

Another week brings us another big tech firm launching a new AI product.

This week, it's Shopify, debuting its AI 'sidekick', a fresh take on the now ubiquitous term 'assistant'.

Here’s what it can do:

  1. Answer questions specific to your retail business.

  2. Help you design your store and navigate documentation.

  3. Take ‘action’ on to-do items related to your online store.

Why it matters: We’re seeing an emerging class of AIs that can take small actions on your behalf, example AutoGPT. If a task takes you more than 5 clicks, an AI-agent could soon do it for you.
