The Main Thing
You should know

AI is coming to your office apps

Salesforce Einstein GPT (who approved this btw?)

What: Software companies are pushing hard to outfit their enterprise software tools with AI. Let’s round up launches this week -

Salesforce:

  • Slack - New AI chatbot to summarize conversation threads, and assist with writing.

  • Einstein GPT - creates personalized content across Salesforce, from composing emails to scheduling meeting (and help you prepare for it)

Microsoft:

  • Copilot: Personalized responses for sales and customer service using customer's data.

  • Dynamics 365 and power platform to assist with building no-code tools.

Big Picture: The last two months have all been about Chatbots making their way into search engines (Microsoft's Bing vs Google's Bard).

But the real deal is the integration with enterprise business apps. In a recent survey of companies using ChatGPT, 48% of them saved more than $50,000! The change is coming faster than you think, and it’s better to be ahead of the tech.

Every app is going to be an AI app.

Tesla: Model S and X are up to $10,000 cheaper! This is the second time this year the prices have been slashed, the Model X has dropped $21,000, and the Model S dropped by $15,000 so far! Great news if you are a new buyer, but folks who bought before the price cuts are likely underwater.

DuckDuckGo: Privacy-focused search engine DuckDuckGo is joining the AI race with launch of AI-powered summarization feature called DuckAssist. The AI can directly answer straightforward search queries for users.

Netflix: You can finally customize the size and style of subtitles and closed captions!

Juicy quick bites

  • Google: Fewer employees will be promoted to senior roles at Google this year.

  • Meta: could layoff thousands of workers in a new round of job cuts.

  • Moon: A Florida-startup wants to put data center on Moon!

  • Silvergate: One of the two major banks for Crypto industry is winding down and liquidating.

Grab your 🍿 for some internet drama. Elon publicly mocked a disabled ex-employee stating “you can’t be fired if you weren’t working in the first place!”, eventually ending with an apology.
